Standards We Verify

Verico certifies an ever-growing list of standards that set the benchmark for sustainability, transparency, and environmental responsibility across industries.

01

Living Product Challenge

The Living Product Challenge is the world’s most advanced product sustainability standard. It provides a framework that encourages manufacturers to create healthy, inspiring products that give more than they take throughout their life cycles. The challenge fosters a future where all products are informed by nature’s design principles and contribute to a regenerative world.

02

Health Product Declarations (HPDs)

Health Product Declarations (HPDs) provide transparent information about the chemical ingredients and health impacts of building products. They help architects and designers make informed choices, promoting safer and more sustainable materials for healthier building environments. By encouraging transparency, HPDs support industry-wide sustainability and better human health.

03

Declare Label

The Declare label is a transparency program that provides detailed information about a product’s ingredients, sourcing, and end-of-life options. It helps architects and designers make informed, sustainable choices by clearly disclosing material contents and any chemicals of concern. Declare labels promote transparency, supporting healthier and more responsible building practices.

04

ACT Environmental Impact Factor Label

The ACT (Accountability, Consistency and Transparency) Environmental Impact Factor Label was developed and designed to address the need of both scientists and procurement specialists for clear, third-party verified information about the environmental impact of laboratory products.

ACT-labeled products are independently audited by Verico and published by My Green Lab.

Verico's Certification and Recertification Process in 12 Easy-for-You Steps.

03

Project Kick Off – A project kickoff meeting will be conducted for all Verico projects.

Project Initial Data Request – After the project kickoff meeting, the Auditing Lead will provide the client with an initial data collection questionnaire with specific questions necessary to conduct the certification.

05

Initial Audit – All Verico audits will be conducted via a desk audit and/or will be completed via site audit as required by the standard Verico is auditing/certifying.

06

Request for Additional Information – If the Auditing Lead finds the client documentation contains missing/incomplete/inaccurate submissions, the Auditing Lead will send the client a Request for Additional Information (RFAI) form.

07

Internal Quality Control Check – Once the RFAI information has been integrated into the audit and review of audit completion has been completed, the project will undergo a Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/QC) review performed by a peer review (independent Verico auditor).

08

Report on Findings to Client – A project report on findings (report out) meeting will be conducted for all Verico projects.

09

Internal Final Quality Control Check – Once the report out meeting has been completed, a final QA/QC will be conducted by Verico’s company leadership in compliance with our Quality Commitment to ensure completeness.

10

Notification of Completion – Notification of completion and appropriate documentation will be sent to the client and the standard owner upon final approval of the project.

11

Close of Project – After confirmation from the client and the standard owner for receipt of project documentation, internal processes and procedures will be followed to formally close each project.
